week 2 first evaluation of the carousel

1. Evidence of me taking part: (Pictures, Diary entries, Printouts ETC) U1.1.2
we didn't do much research as we have only done one day of the carousel in art and design and we just sketch and did monoprinting.
Now list Primary and Secondary sources U2.2.1
Primary: Exerimenting; deciding which pen or pencil is best for the work we are creating.
Secondary: looking at past years work and teachers telling us the best methods.
2b Discuss any skills that you have tried: U2.1.1
the skills we have used over the past week are editing our short films and creating sfx (foley).
when we started the carousel we went to art and design at did sketching with pencils, biro and two pens. mono printing was another skill we used which is another way of creating a pattern with ink.
2c Discuss any processes and methods you used (Photography wet process, Screen Printing, Photoshop layering etc): U1.1.1
when we went into art and design we used mono printing with our photos that we sketched before. Monoprinting is a form of printmaking that has lines or images that can only be made once, unlike most printmaking, where there are multiple originals. We used a drop of ink and rolled it out with a roller to create an A4 shape and placed a piece off paper on top and then the photo we are using and trace it with a pencil.
What is your understanding of these?:
Processes
monprinting was a complicated method which I had done before but still was difficult to do; after being token through a demonstration it was easy to do. when it came to sketching out our photograph it was hard as we couldn't see our outcomes. I found it most to difficult to sketch the correct lines and create a neat outcome.
2d Discuss the tools that you used (Paint, Material, Software, etc): U2 3.1
before the monoprinting we did 6 drawings and used a pencil, brio, double pencil and colouring pens and highlighters to create affects. when we moved onto mono printing we used ink, gloves and a roller.
Evaluated them
How effective are they?
when we did our sketches we used pencils biros and double pencils I found that using pencils and biros worked well but when we used the double pencil I found it hard to draw with as you had to hold them it the correct places. in the monoprinting the gloves was helpful so with didn't get the ink on our skin, the ink spread equally as we used the roller to create an A4 sheet.
How could this be improved?
if we wanted to improve the double pencil we could off taped them together so they was easier to hold.
