fashion

Document what you did in the session on Tuesday and Wednesday (Pictures, Diary entries, Printouts ETC) In our carousel this week we went to fashion, in our first session we created an ink printing onto fabric; we did this by mixing powder with water but unfortunately we couldn't use a lot of powder as it was expensive and couldn't mix it ourselves. We started by painting onto a piece of paper what we wanted onto our t-shirt design to be. I found it difficult to know what colours i was using as they changed colour as we heat pressed it onto the fabric.  in the next season we sewed onto our t-shirt designs to make a pattern and attached fabric to our designs. I found it hard to use the sewing machine as I have never used one before; I found it hard to sew a straight line or make a pattern. photography

This week in our carousel we did photography, i feel like this was useful as it gave us new skills in using a digital camera, we learnt about shutter speed the shutter speed is  length of time when the film or digital sensor inside the camera is exposed to light, also when a camera's shutter  is open when taking a photograph. We then went outside to take photo and use our new skills by changing the shutter speed to take different photos.

task 3 evaluate your findings

In task 1 we did a survey on the social media people in our class like and used, it also gave us information on the different things they used it for and why they used it. I found this survey useful as it helped us to understand how much people use social media and different ways we as media students can use it to help use develop our knowledge. in task 2 we looked at a film website and the different social media that the film is promoting on and it will help us get information about the film. people use social media to see what film our like and to see other peoples option on the film. film makers normally advertise the film on social media because it will get a range of ages to look at the film and there will be more viewers. we filled out a sheet on how much people look at social media and how often social media websites upload photos and information about the film or show.
